A reminder that our 1st winter talk will be held this Friday 13th October at 7.30pm, in the Tilford Institute, Tilford Rd, GU10 2DA
It will be by Bob Smith on "Pollen Propolis and water - other things bees collect".
Bob says, "Members of the public especially, but beekeepers too, tend to think only about the nectar that bees obtain from flowers and turn into that magic sweet substance, honey. Bees are entirely vegetarian and so other inputs from the plant kingdom are also essential, particularly pollen and propolis. This talk will examine the colony needs and the place that these other materials have in assuring healthy, thriving colonies."
Refreshments will be served at the end with time to socialise with other members.
