There are Basic assessments at the apiary so the regular Saturday apiary meeting is cancelled.
This is our main weekly members' apiary meeting: Saturdays at 2pm from early April, subject to weather conditions - be sure to check there haven't been a cancellation email before setting off!
Every other week there is an intermediate session. See separate entries for details.
As well as Saturday afternoons, members are welcome at the apiary on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm.
Evenings are generally cooler so please check email before setting off in case of cancellation due to unsuitable weather. If there's been no email by 4:30pm, it's on!
On Thursdays during half terms and over the summer holidays, "Rural Life Centre museum volunteers bring history to life with demonstrations, crafts and fun activities. A truly brilliant day out for children of all ages."

This is a short session covering the different types of varroa treatments that can be applied after the honey crop to reduce varroa numbers in the colony and hopefully ensure healthy winter bees.
There is no apiary meeting over the Weyfest weekend
... there's a huge stage right outside the apiary gate!
FBKA will have a stall at the Rural Life Centre's Donkey day with an observation hive of bees, displays and information about bees and beekeeping, and honey for sale.
